DESCRIPTION:impACT lunched in Mazar on 18 July 2019 by organizing impACT Mazar e Sharif Pop-Up event. Mazar is a city in the north of the birth country of #impACTheworld Afghanistan which is famous for its historical and cultural heritages. Mazar is also known for its adaptation of Rumi culture and is the origination for the popular Rumi driven Sama Dance. \nOver 150 participants including youth\, potential entrepreneurs\, social entrepreneurs\, and scholars attended the event. 3 power talks were delivered by Jaivd Ahmad Gulistan founder of E-Talks\, Sayed Murtaza Hashimi and Mr. Aryan Mahfooz. There was a panel on the importance of Knowledge\, Network\, and Resources as ingredients of success. \nThe event had two parts of art exhibition\, first\, a photo exhibition showcasing the handwork of Mazar artisans and the second was the popular Rumi Dance (Dance of Sama).

DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, December 10th impACT Chat Herat event was organized in Herat. This event was a great opportunity for participants to hear about the best practices in acquiring resources\, gaining knowledge and building networks in order to start or improve social ventures. impACT brought together youths with different backgrounds who were mostly thinking of starting their social enterprises in order to solve some of the serious problems in their community. The discussions started with lessons learned of speakers and continued with fireside chat questions and post-chat networking. \nThis event was a joint effort between impACT and @Coserve\, our partner on the ground. Our speaker Mr. Sirajuddin Mobini\, a civil engineer has started his social enterprise – Coserve Coworking space in Herat to help young entrepreneurs have access to affordable and comfortable space for their activities. Our second speaker\, Mr. Hamed Nejati is one of the co-Founders of Raha Net and Raha Foundation provided more than 250 job opportunities in Afghanistan. \nThe event was sponsored by Aghaez Professional Services and Bright Point Consulting Company and hosted by Herat Book Cafe.

DESCRIPTION:impACT was successfully launched in Islamabad in November 2018. The impACT Islamabad International Conference took place mostly at the National Incubation Center in Islamabad\, Pakistan as well as the Marriott Hotel. impACT Islamabad International brought together Afghan and Pakistani entrepreneurs that work towards a sustainable social change. On the conference day\, about 100 participants from various countries around the world were present. The aim of impACT was to co-create\, to meet\, and to discuss new avenues of cooperation and support between the Afghan and Pakistani startup scenes.\nimpACT Islamabad brought together entrepreneurs from two ecosystems and enhanced their understanding of the SDGs and their national impACT with various training activities. The power triangle mapping exercise supported them in understanding the strengths and weaknesses of their social startups.

DESCRIPTION:On the 13th of October 2018\, the impACT Baghdad Conference was successfully launched at The Station in Baghdad\, Iraq. impACT Baghdad brought together Iraqi entrepreneurs and youth aspiring to learn more about social entrepreneurship. Out of 150 participants. The aim of impACT was to highlight the topic of social entrepreneurship and support entrepreneurs to meet and discuss new avenues of cooperation and support. Participating organizations were AGHAEZ\, GIZ\, World Merit\, Framea and Philia. \nThe impACT Baghdad team undertook research in Baghdad and in Basra in order to determine gaps and opportunities for social entrepreneurs in regard to the three aspects of the Power Triangle Model: networks\, resources\, and knowledge.\nIn an exhibition\, fifteen exhibitors showcased their initiatives and ventures that have a social impact in Baghdad and beyond. The teams invited participants to learn more and to get inspired by what is possible in terms of social impact.

DESCRIPTION:On the 29th of August 2018\, the impACT Amman Pop-Up Event was successfully launched at Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) in Amman\, Jordan. impACT Amman brought together Jordanian social entrepreneurs. Out of 150 participants\, there were many young entrepreneurs from various countries around the region. The aim of impACT was to support youth and social entrepreneurs to meet and discuss new avenues of cooperation and support. Participating organizations were Social’n Tech\, Zain Jordan\, and Philia.

DESCRIPTION:impACT aims at featuring a positive image of fragile states such as Afghanistan. This will help to attract foreign investors providing them with first hand information on the business market in fragile contexts. Additionally\, it  \nsupports startups and social entrepreneurs in providing sustainable and homegrown solutions to cross-border issues. impACT Berlin took place from 22. – 24. November 2017 building onto the success of the impACT Kabul conference that took place in August 2017. impACT paves the way for concrete and sustainable actions\, which have a lasting impact beyond the international conference! \nIMPACT ECOSYSTEM TOUR: The impACT Ecosystem tour gave our guests from Afghanistan a good insight into the social impact ecosystem in Berlin. \nIMPACT TRAININGS: All participants were able to pitch their social impact ideas in a hack session and subsequently worked on them in design thinking workshops during the impACT Bootcamp. \nIMPACT ART: During the impACT Berlin event the International Organisation for Migration set up a photo exhibition to showcase the journey of Afghan migrants.
