Ahmad Fahim Didar is founder and Executive Director of Aghaez Professional Services (AGHAEZ) a management consulting firm focused on development of entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem in Afghanistan.
Mr. Didar holds a MBA Degree in Information System and has 16 years of professional experience. Mr. Didar has worked with different National and International, Government and Private sector organization in higher executive capacities, his major employment experiences include Senior Software Programmer in Ministry of Finance, Director of National Agriculture Information Systems in Chemonics Inc., Director of Information Management System in Ministry of Agriculture, Chief Marketing Officer of Afghanistan Commercial Bank and Executive Director of Toyota Motor Corporation Distribution in Afghanistan.
Mr. Didar is among the leading entrepreneurs of Afghanistan who is putting strong efforts to contribute in economic development of country through Startups, he manages these efforts under a program named Afghanistan Startup Revolution; the program has four components of nurturing Entrepreneurial Mindset in Youth, Inspiring Youth to start Startups, availing Required Facilities for Startups and Advocacy to create an Enabling Environment for Startups.
As part of AGHAEZ endeavors; Mr. Didar is currently managing Silicon Valley based Startup Grind in Afghanistan, he is one of the leading organizers and sponsors of TechStar’s Startup Weekend in Afghanistan, he has founded Startup Valley – Afghanistan Business Incubation Center, he has co-founded impACT – a Global Social Entrepreneurship Movement, he one of the core members of leading an Advocacy Dialog in Government for introduction of Afghanistan’s first Startup Policy and he publishes Afghanistan’s Startup Ecosystem Report. Mr. Didar is the one of the core founding members of advocacy association for startups – Startups and Emerging Entrepreneurs Network (SEEN).
Mr. Didar is also passionate about being part of expandable startups as investor or team member, thus he is now involved in a number of startups including “Café Lampaka” a catering startup in Kabul and “Sakhawat” a Global Zakat Collection and Distribution Platform.
