About the Event
On the 13th of October 2018, the impACT Baghdad Conference was successfully launched at The Station in Baghdad, Iraq. impACT Baghdad brought together Iraqi entrepreneurs and youth aspiring to learn more about social entrepreneurship. Out of 150 participants. The aim of impACT was to highlight the topic of social entrepreneurship and support entrepreneurs to meet and discuss new avenues of cooperation and support. Participating organizations were AGHAEZ, GIZ, World Merit, Framea and Philia.
The impACT Baghdad team undertook research in Baghdad and in Basra in order to determine gaps and opportunities for social entrepreneurs in regard to the three aspects of the Power Triangle Model: networks, resources, and knowledge.
In an exhibition, fifteen exhibitors showcased their initiatives and ventures that have a social impact in Baghdad and beyond. The teams invited participants to learn more and to get inspired by what is possible in terms of social impact.
